[308] Where the eye base (cakkhāyatana) arises, does the nose base (ghānāyatana) arise there? In the form sphere (rūpāvacara), there the eye base arises, but the nose base does not arise there; in the sense sphere (kāmāvacara), there both the eye base arises and the nose base arises. Or rather, where the nose base arises, does the eye base arise there? Yes.
