In the form sphere (rūpāvacara), the nose base does not arise there, but it is not the case that the form base does not arise there. In the formless (arūpa), there both the nose base does not arise and the form base does not arise.
Or else, where the form base does not arise, does the nose base not arise there?
Yes (āmantā).
