[315] Where the form base (rūpāyatana) arises, does the phenomena base (dhammāyatana) arise there? Yes (āmantā). Or, where the phenomena base arises, does the form base arise there? In the formless [plane] (arūpa), the phenomena base arises there, but the form base does not arise there. In the five-constituent [existence] (pañcavokāra) and among the non-percipient beings (asaññasatta), there both the phenomena base arises and the form base arises.
