Uppādavāra

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (1) · Vol. 38 · Section 314

[314] Where the form base (rūpāyatana) arises, does the mind base (manāyatana) arise there? Among the non-percipient beings (asaññasattā), the form base arises there, but the mind base does not arise there. In the five-constituent [plane] (pañcavokāra), both the form base arises there and the mind base arises there. Or rather, where the mind base arises, does the form base arise there? In the formless [plane] (arūpa), the mind base arises there, but the form base does not arise there. In the five-constituent [plane], both the mind base arises there and the form base arises there.
