[414] For whomever the form sense-base (rūpāyatana) arises, has the mind sense-base (manāyatana) … the dhamma sense-base (dhammāyatana) arisen for him? Yes. Or, for whomever the dhamma sense-base has arisen, does the form sense-base arise for him? For all who are passing away, and for the formless beings (arūpaka) who are being reborn — for them the dhamma sense-base has arisen, but the form sense-base does not arise for them. For beings possessed of form (sarūpaka) who are being reborn — for them both the dhamma sense-base has arisen and the form sense-base arises.
