[415] For whomever the mind base (manāyatana) arises, has the dhamma base (dhammāyatana) arisen for him? Yes. Or rather, for whomever the dhamma base has arisen, does the mind base arise for him? For all who are passing away and for the mindless (acittaka) who are being reborn, the dhamma base has arisen for them, but the mind base does not arise for them; for those possessing mind (sacittaka) who are being reborn, for them both the dhamma base has arisen and the mind base arises.
