[547] For whomever the eye sense base (cakkhāyatana) has ceased, has the ear sense base (sotāyatana) ceased for him? Yes. In the arising section (uppādavāra), in the cessation section (nirodhavāra), and in the arising-and-cessation section (uppādanirodhavāra), the questions concerning the past, both positive (anuloma) and negative (paccanīya), are alike. ___________
