[974] For whomever, wherever, the truth of suffering (dukkhasacca) has ceased, will the truth of origin (samudayasacca) cease for that one there?
For those endowed with the supreme path (aggamagga), for Arahants, for those who will obtain the supreme path in immediate succession to [their present] mind (citta), and for non-percipient beings (asaññasattā) — for them, there, the truth of suffering has ceased, but the truth of origin will not cease for them there. For the others, those with four aggregates or five aggregates (catuvokāra, pañcavokāra) — for them, there, the truth of suffering has ceased and the truth of origin will cease.
Or, for whomever, wherever, the truth of origin will cease, has the truth of suffering ceased for that one there?
For those being reborn into the Pure Abodes (Suddhāvāsa) — for them, there, the truth of origin will cease, but the truth of suffering has not ceased for them there. For the others, those with four aggregates or five aggregates — for them, there, the truth of origin will cease and the truth of suffering has ceased.
