[975] For whomever, wherever, the truth of suffering (dukkhasacca) has ceased, will the truth of the path (maggasacca) cease for that one there?
For those at the moment of dissolution of the highest path (aggamagga), for Arahants, for those worldlings (puthujjana) who will not obtain the path, for beings in the states of woe (āpāyika), and for non-percipient beings (asaññasatta): for them, there, the truth of suffering has ceased, but the truth of the path will not cease for them there. For those at the moment of arising of the highest path, for those who will obtain the highest path immediately after [their present] mind (citta), and for those others who will obtain the path: for them, there, the truth of suffering has ceased and the truth of the path will cease.
Or: for whomever, wherever, the truth of the path will cease, has the truth of suffering ceased for that one there?
For those being reborn into the Pure Abodes (Suddhāvāsa): for them, there, the truth of the path will cease, but the truth of suffering has not ceased for them there. For those at the moment of arising of the highest path, for those who will obtain the highest path immediately after [their present] mind, and for those others who will obtain the path: for them, there, the truth of the path will cease and the truth of suffering has ceased.
