[1013] "For whom the eye-faculty (cakkhundriya) arises, has the nose-faculty (ghānindriya) arisen for that one?" — Yes.
"Or else, for whom the nose-faculty has arisen, does the eye-faculty arise for that one?" — For all who are passing away (cavantānaṃ) and for those without eye who are being reborn (upapajjantānaṃ), the nose-faculty has arisen for them, but the eye-faculty does not arise for them. For those with eye who are being reborn, both the nose-faculty has arisen for them and the eye-faculty arises.
