Cakkhundarīya

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (2) · Vol. 39 · Section 489

[489] For whomever the eye-faculty (cakkhundriya) arises, does the nose-faculty (ghānindriya) arise for that one? For those with the eye, without the nose, who are being reborn (upapajjantānaṃ), the eye-faculty arises for them, but the nose-faculty does not arise for them. For those with the eye, with the nose, who are being reborn, both the eye-faculty arises for them and the nose-faculty arises. Or, for whomever the nose-faculty arises, does the eye-faculty arise for that one? For those with the nose, without the eye, who are being reborn, the nose-faculty arises for them, but the eye-faculty does not arise for them. For those with the nose, with the eye, who are being reborn, both the nose-faculty arises for them and the eye-faculty arises.
