Cakkhundarīya

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (2) · Vol. 39 · Section 559

[559] For whomever, wherever, the eye-faculty (cakkhundriya) arises, does the nose-faculty (ghānindriya) arise for that one there? For those being reborn who possess the eye but lack the nose, for them there the eye-faculty arises, but for them there the nose-faculty does not arise. For those being reborn who possess the eye and possess the nose, for them there both the eye-faculty arises and the nose-faculty arises. Or rather, for whomever, wherever, the nose-faculty arises, does the eye-faculty arise for that one there? For those being reborn who possess the nose but lack the eye, for them there the nose-faculty arises, but for them there the eye-faculty does not arise. For those being reborn who possess the nose and possess the eye, for them there both the nose-faculty arises and the eye-faculty arises.
