[558] For whomever, wherever, the eye faculty (cakkhundriya) arises, does the ear faculty (sotindriya) arise for that one there?
For those with the eye but without the ear who are being reborn, the eye faculty arises for them there, but the ear faculty does not arise for them there. For those with the eye and with the ear who are being reborn, both the eye faculty arises and the ear faculty arises for them there.
Or rather, for whomever, wherever, the ear faculty arises, does the eye faculty arise for that one there?
