[674] For whomever, wherever, the eye-faculty (cakkhundriya) does not arise, does the ear-faculty (sotindriya) not arise for that one there?
For those without eye but with ear who are being reborn, the eye-faculty does not arise for them there, yet it is not the case that the ear-faculty does not arise for them there. For all who are passing away, and for those without eye and without ear who are being reborn, for them there the eye-faculty does not arise and the ear-faculty does not arise.
Or, for whomever, wherever, the ear-faculty does not arise, does the eye-faculty not arise for that one there?
For those without ear but with eye who are being reborn, the ear-faculty does not arise for them there, yet it is not the case that the eye-faculty does not arise for them there. For all who are passing away, and for those without ear and without eye who are being reborn, for them there the ear-faculty does not arise and the eye-faculty does not arise.
