Cakkhundarīya

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (2) · Vol. 39 · Section 604

[604] For whomever the eye faculty (cakkhundriya) does not arise, does the ear faculty (sotindriya) not arise for that being? For those beings without eye but with ear who are being reborn, the eye faculty does not arise for them, but it is not the case that the ear faculty does not arise for them. For all beings who are passing away, and for those without eye and without ear who are being reborn, the eye faculty does not arise for them and the ear faculty does not arise. Or, for whomever the ear faculty does not arise, does the eye faculty not arise for that being? For those beings without ear but with eye who are being reborn, the ear faculty does not arise for them, but it is not the case that the eye faculty does not arise for them. For all beings who are passing away, and for those without ear and without eye who are being reborn, the ear faculty does not arise for them and the eye faculty does not arise.
