Cakkhundarīya

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (2) · Vol. 39 · Section 605

[605] For whomever the eye-faculty (cakkhundriya) does not arise, does the nose-faculty (ghānindriya) not arise for that one? For those without eye but with nose who are being reborn, the eye-faculty does not arise for them, yet it is not the case that the nose-faculty does not arise for them. For all who are passing away, and for those without eye and without nose who are being reborn, for them both the eye-faculty does not arise and the nose-faculty does not arise. Or rather, for whomever the nose-faculty does not arise, does the eye-faculty not arise for that one? For those without nose but with eye who are being reborn, the nose-faculty does not arise for them, yet it is not the case that the eye-faculty does not arise for them. For all who are passing away, and for those without nose and without eye who are being reborn, for them both the nose-faculty does not arise and the eye-faculty does not arise.
