Cakkhundarīya

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (2) · Vol. 39 · Section 1121

[1121] For whom, wherein, the eye faculty (cakkhundriya) arises, will the wisdom faculty (paññindriya) … the mind faculty (manindriya) arise for that one therein? For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) who are being reborn into the five-constituent [plane] (pañcavokāra), the eye faculty arises for them therein, but the mind faculty will not arise for them therein; for the others, possessing eyes (sacakkhuka), who are being reborn, the eye faculty arises for them therein and the mind faculty will arise. Or, for whom, wherein, the mind faculty will arise, does the eye faculty arise for that one therein? For those passing away from the five-constituent [plane], for those without eyes (acakkhuka) who are being reborn into the sense sphere (kāmāvacara), and for the formless beings (arūpa), the mind faculty will arise for them therein, but the eye faculty does not arise for them therein; for those possessing eyes who are being reborn, the mind faculty will arise for them therein and the eye faculty arises.
