Cakkhundarīya

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (2) · Vol. 39 · Section 1043

[1043] For whomever, wherever, the eye faculty (cakkhundriya) arises, did the faith faculty (saddhindriya) arise for that one there? For those being reborn into the Pure Abodes (Suddhāvāsa), the eye faculty arises for them there, but the faith faculty did not arise for them there. For the others possessing the eye who are being reborn, the eye faculty arises for them there and the faith faculty did arise. Or, for whomever, wherever, the faith faculty arose, does the eye faculty arise for that one there? For those passing away from five-constituent existence (pañcavokāra), for those without the eye who are being reborn into the sense sphere (kāmāvacara), and for formless (arūpa) beings, the faith faculty arose for them there, but the eye faculty does not arise for them there. For those possessing the eye who are being reborn, the faith faculty arose for them there and the eye faculty arises.
