[1135] For whomever, wherever, the masculinity faculty (purisindriya) arises, will the life faculty (jīvitindriya) arise for that one there?
For males in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) who are being reborn, the masculinity faculty arises for them there, but the life faculty will not arise for them there; for the other males who are being reborn, for them there both the masculinity faculty arises and the life faculty will arise.
Or else, for whomever, wherever, the life faculty will arise, does the masculinity faculty arise for that one there?
For those passing away from the sense sphere (kāmāvacara), for non-males (napurisa) being reborn into the sense sphere, and for beings of the form sphere (rūpāvacara) and of the formless sphere (arūpāvacara), the life faculty will arise for them there, but the masculinity faculty does not arise for them there; for males who are being reborn, for them there both the life faculty will arise and the masculinity faculty arises.
