[1257] For whomever and wherever the eye-faculty (cakkhundriya) arose, will the ear-faculty (sotindriya) arise for that one there?
For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) in the five-constituent [existence] (pañcavokāra), the eye-faculty arose there, but the ear-faculty will not arise for them there. For the other five-constituent beings, both the eye-faculty arose there and the ear-faculty will arise.
Or rather, for whomever and wherever the ear-faculty will arise, did the eye-faculty arise for that one there?
