Cakkhundarīya

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (2) · Vol. 39 · Section 1272

[1272] For whomever, wherever, the nose-faculty (ghānindriya) has arisen, will the wisdom faculty (paññindriya) … the mind-faculty (manindriya) arise for that one there? As for those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) in the sense sphere (kāmāvacara): the nose-faculty has arisen for them there, but the mind-faculty will not arise for them there. As for the other beings of the sense sphere: for them there both the nose-faculty has arisen and the mind-faculty will arise. Or else, for whomever, wherever, the mind-faculty will arise, has the nose-faculty arisen for that one there? As for those of the form sphere (rūpāvacara) and of the formless sphere (arūpāvacara): the mind-faculty will arise for them there, but the nose-faculty has not arisen for them there. As for those of the sense sphere: for them there both the mind-faculty will arise and the nose-faculty has arisen.
