Cakkhundarīya

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (2) · Vol. 39 · Section 1316

[1316] For whomever, wherever, the nose faculty (ghānindriya) did not arise — will the wisdom faculty (paññindriya) … the mind faculty (manindriya) not arise for that one there? For beings of the form sphere (rūpāvacara) and of the formless sphere (arūpāvacara): for them there the nose faculty did not arise, but it is not the case that for them there the mind faculty will not arise. For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) in the form sphere and in the formless sphere, and for non-percipient beings (asaññasatta): for them there both the nose faculty did not arise and the mind faculty will not arise. Or rather, for whomever, wherever, the mind faculty will not arise — did the nose faculty not arise for that one there? For those in their final existence in the sense sphere (kāmāvacara): for them there the mind faculty will not arise, but it is not the case that for them there the nose faculty did not arise. For those in their final existence in the form sphere and in the formless sphere, and for non-percipient beings: for them there both the mind faculty will not arise and the nose faculty did not arise.
