Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (2) · Vol. 39 · Section 1200

[1200] For whomever, wherever, the nose-faculty (ghānindriya) does not arise, will the wisdom faculty (paññindriya) … the mind-faculty (manindriya) not arise for that one there? For those passing away (cavanta) from the sense sphere (kāmāvacara), for those without a nose (aghānaka) who are being reborn (upapajjanta) into the sense sphere, and for beings of the form sphere (rūpāvacara) and of the formless sphere (arūpāvacara): for them, there, the nose-faculty does not arise, but it is not the case that the mind-faculty will not arise for them there. For those attaining final Nibbāna (parinibbanta) in the sense sphere, for those of the final existence (pacchimabhavika) in the form sphere and in the formless sphere, and for non-percipient beings (asaññasatta): for them, there, the nose-faculty does not arise, and the mind-faculty will not arise. Or: for whomever, wherever, the mind-faculty will not arise, does the nose-faculty not arise for that one there? For those of the final existence who, possessed of a nose (saghānaka), are being reborn: for them, there, the mind-faculty will not arise, but it is not the case that the nose-faculty does not arise for them there. For those attaining final Nibbāna in the sense sphere, for those of the final existence in the form sphere and in the formless sphere, and for non-percipient beings: for them, there, the mind-faculty will not arise, and the nose-faculty does not arise.
