[1282] For whomever, wherever, the masculinity faculty (purisindriya) arose — will the faith faculty (saddhindriya) arise for that one there?
For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) in the sense sphere (kāmāvacara), the masculinity faculty arose for them there, but the faith faculty will not arise for them there. For the others of the sense sphere, both the masculinity faculty arose for them there and the faith faculty will arise.
Or: for whomever, wherever, the faith faculty will arise — did the masculinity faculty arise for that one there?
For those of the form sphere (rūpāvacara) and of the formless sphere (arūpāvacara), the faith faculty will arise for them there, but the masculinity faculty did not arise for them there. For those of the sense sphere, both the faith faculty will arise for them there and the masculinity faculty arose.
