[265] For whomever, wherever, wholesome phenomena (kusalā dhammā) do not cease, will unwholesome phenomena (akusalā dhammā) not cease for that one there?
For all [beings] at the moment of the arising (uppādakkhaṇa) of mind (citta), and at the moment of the dissolution (bhaṅgakkhaṇa) of a mind dissociated from the wholesome (kusala-vippayutta-citta): for them there, wholesome phenomena do not cease, but it is not the case that, for them there, unwholesome phenomena will not cease. At the moment of the arising of the highest path (aggamagga); for Arahants; for those at the moment of the arising of that mind immediately after which they will obtain the highest path; and for non-percipient beings (asaññasattā): for them there, wholesome phenomena do not cease and unwholesome phenomena will not cease.
Or rather, for whomever, wherever, unwholesome phenomena will not cease, do wholesome phenomena not cease for that one there?
At the moment of the dissolution of the highest path, and for those at the moment of the dissolution of that mind immediately after which they will obtain the highest path: for them there, unwholesome phenomena will not cease, but it is not the case that, for them there, wholesome phenomena do not cease.
