[398] Is the eye (cakkhu) the eye-faculty (cakkhundriya)? The divine eye (dibbacakkhu) and the eye of wisdom (paññācakkhu) are eye but not the eye-faculty; the eye-faculty is both eye and eye-faculty. Are faculties (indriyā) the ear-faculty (sotindriya)? The ear-faculty is both a faculty and the ear-faculty; the remaining faculties are faculties but not the ear-faculty. Is the eye the eye-faculty? The divine eye and the eye of wisdom are eye but not the eye-faculty; the eye-faculty is both eye and eye-faculty. Are faculties the nose-faculty (ghānindriya)? The nose-faculty is both a faculty and the nose-faculty; the remaining faculties are faculties but not the nose-faculty. Is the eye the eye-faculty? The divine eye and the eye of wisdom are eye but not the eye-faculty; the eye-faculty is both eye and eye-faculty. Are faculties the tongue-faculty (jivhindriya)? The tongue-faculty is both a faculty and the tongue-faculty; the remaining faculties are faculties but not the tongue-faculty. Is the eye the eye-faculty? The divine eye and the eye of wisdom are eye but not the eye-faculty; the eye-faculty is both eye and eye-faculty. Are faculties the body-faculty (kāyindriya)? The body-faculty is both a faculty and the body-faculty; the remaining faculties are faculties but not the body-faculty. Is the eye the eye-faculty?
