Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (2) · Vol. 39 · Section 852

[852] For whomever the femininity faculty (itthindriya) will arise, will the life faculty (jīvitindriya) arise for that one? Yes. Or, for whomever the life faculty will arise, will the femininity faculty arise for that one? Those who, having been reborn in the form sphere (rūpāvacara) or the formless sphere (arūpāvacara), will attain final Nibbāna (parinibbāna), and those males (purisa) who, in that very state (bhāva) [of maleness], will manifest in some number of existences (bhava) and then attain final Nibbāna — for them the life faculty will arise, but the femininity faculty will not arise for them. For the others, both the life faculty will arise and the femininity faculty will arise.
