[197] "Bhikkhus, here it is the fourteenth day for the resident bhikkhus (āvāsika), and the fifteenth for the incoming bhikkhus (āgantuka). If the resident bhikkhus are more numerous, the incoming bhikkhus should conform to the residents. If they are equal in number, the incoming bhikkhus should conform to the residents. If the incoming bhikkhus are more numerous, the resident bhikkhus should conform to the incomers. "Bhikkhus, here it is the fifteenth day for the resident bhikkhus, and the fourteenth for the incoming bhikkhus. If the resident bhikkhus are more numerous, the incoming bhikkhus should conform to the residents. If they are equal in number, the incoming bhikkhus should conform to the residents. If the incoming bhikkhus are more numerous, the resident bhikkhus should conform to the incomers. "Bhikkhus, here it is the first day of the fortnight (pāṭipada) for the resident bhikkhus, and the fifteenth for the incoming bhikkhus. If the resident bhikkhus are more numerous, the residents need not, against their wish, grant concord (sāmaggī) to the incomers; the incomers should go outside the boundary (sīmā) and perform the uposatha. If they are equal in number, the residents need not, against their wish, grant concord to the incomers; the incomers should go outside the boundary and perform the uposatha. If the incoming bhikkhus are more numerous, the residents should either grant concord to the incomers or go outside the boundary. "Bhikkhus, here it is the fifteenth day for the resident bhikkhus, and the first day of the fortnight for the incoming bhikkhus. If the resident bhikkhus are more numerous, the incomers should either grant concord to the residents or go outside the boundary. If they are equal in number, the incomers should either grant concord to the residents or go outside the boundary. If the incoming bhikkhus are more numerous, the incomers need not, against their wish, grant concord to the residents; the residents should go outside the boundary and perform the uposatha."
