[239] Now here, bhikkhus, for the resident bhikkhus (āvāsika) it is the fourteenth day, but for the incoming bhikkhus (āgantuka) it is the fifteenth. If the residents are more numerous, the incoming bhikkhus should conform to the residents. If they are equal in number, the incoming bhikkhus should conform to the residents. If the incoming bhikkhus are more numerous, the residents should conform to the incoming bhikkhus.
Now here, bhikkhus, for the resident bhikkhus it is the fifteenth day, but for the incoming bhikkhus it is the fourteenth. If the incoming bhikkhus are more numerous, the residents should either give concord to the incoming bhikkhus or go outside the boundary.
