[1157] A phenomenon (dhamma) associated with pleasant feeling (sukhā vedanā) is a condition for a phenomenon associated with pleasant feeling by immediacy condition (anantara-paccaya). That is: the preceding aggregates (khandhā) associated with pleasant feeling are in each case a condition for the subsequent aggregates associated with pleasant feeling by immediacy condition. Conformity (anuloma) associated with pleasant feeling is a condition for change-of-lineage (gotrabhū) associated with pleasant feeling by immediacy condition. Conformity is a condition for cleansing (vodāna); change-of-lineage is a condition for the path (magga); cleansing is a condition for the path; the path is a condition for fruition (phala); fruition is a condition for fruition; conformity is a condition for the attainment of fruition (phala-samāpatti) associated with pleasant feeling by immediacy condition. The aggregates associated with pleasant feeling are a condition for emergence (vuṭṭhāna) associated with pleasant feeling by immediacy condition.
