[1156] A phenomenon (dhamma) associated with neither-painful-nor-pleasant feeling (adukkhamasukhā vedanā) is a condition, by predominance condition (adhipati-paccaya), for a phenomenon associated with pleasant feeling.
Object predominance (ārammaṇādhipati): Having given a gift (dāna), having undertaken virtue (sīla), having performed the uposatha observance, with a mind (citta) associated with neither-painful-nor-pleasant feeling, one, esteeming it, reviews it with a mind associated with pleasant feeling. Having emerged from jhāna associated with neither-painful-nor-pleasant feeling, having emerged from the path (magga), having emerged from fruition (phala), one, esteeming it, reviews it with a mind associated with pleasant feeling.
