Abhidhammapiṭaka · Paṭṭhāna (1) · Vol. 40 · Section 1403

[1403] A resultant (vipāka) phenomenon (dhamma) and a phenomenon that is neither a resultant nor productive of resultants (nevavipākanavipākadhammadhamma) are a condition for a resultant phenomenon by presence condition (atthi-paccaya) — conascent (sahajāta), prenascent (purejāta). Conascent: one aggregate (khandha) accompanied by eye-consciousness (cakkhuviññāṇa), and the eye base (cakkhāyatana), are a condition for the three [aggregates] … one resultant aggregate accompanied by body-consciousness (kāyaviññāṇa), and the base (vatthu), are a condition for the three aggregates; at the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi), one resultant aggregate and the base are a condition for the three [aggregates]. A resultant phenomenon and a phenomenon that is neither a resultant nor productive of resultants are a condition for a phenomenon that is neither a resultant nor productive of resultants by presence condition — conascent, postnascent (pacchājāta), nutriment (āhāra), faculty (indriya). Conascent: resultant aggregates and the primary elements (mahābhūta) are a condition for mind-originated matter (cittasamuṭṭhānarūpa); at the moment of rebirth-linking, resultant aggregates and the primary elements are a condition for kamma-born matter (kaṭattārūpa) by presence condition. Postnascent: resultant aggregates and edible nutriment (kabaḷīkāra āhāra) are a condition for this body. Postnascent: resultant aggregates and the physical life faculty (rūpajīvitindriya) are a condition for kamma-born matter.
