[1464] Conditioned by a phenomenon (dhamma) that is clung to and subject to clinging (upādinnupādāniya) and a phenomenon that is neither clung to nor subject to clinging (anupādinna-anupādāniya), there arises a phenomenon that is neither clung to nor subject to clinging, not by predominance condition (na-adhipatipaccayā):
Conditioned by aggregates that are neither clung to nor subject to clinging and by the base (vatthu), [there arises] predominance (adhipati) that is neither clung to nor subject to clinging.
Conditioned by a phenomenon that is clung to and subject to clinging and a phenomenon that is not clung to but subject to clinging (anupādinnupādāniya), there arises a phenomenon that is not clung to but subject to clinging, not by predominance condition:
Conditioned by aggregates that are clung to and subject to clinging and by the primary elements (mahābhūtā), [there arises] mind-originated matter (cittasamuṭṭhānaṃ rūpaṃ); conditioned by one aggregate that is not clung to but subject to clinging and by the base, [there arise] three aggregates; conditioned by two aggregates and by the base, two aggregates.
