[1540] A phenomenon (dhamma) that is not clung-to but subject to clinging (anupādinnupādāniya) is a condition for a phenomenon that is clung-to and subject to clinging (upādinnupādāniya) by postnascence condition (pacchājāta-paccaya). Postnascent aggregates (khandhā) that are not clung-to but subject to clinging are a condition for this prenascent (purejāta) body that is clung-to and subject to clinging by postnascence condition.
