[1544] A phenomenon that is neither clung-to nor subject to clinging (anupādinna-anupādāniya) is a condition, by postnascence condition (pacchājāta-paccaya), for a phenomenon that is clung-to and subject to clinging (upādinnupādāniya) and for a phenomenon that is not clung-to but subject to clinging (anupādinnupādāniya).
Postnascent (pacchājātā): aggregates (khandhā) that are neither clung-to nor subject to clinging are a condition, by postnascence condition, for this prenascent (purejāta) body (kāya) that is clung-to and subject to clinging and that is not clung-to but subject to clinging.
