[1664] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) that is defiled and subject to defilement (saṅkiliṭṭha-saṅkilesika) and a phenomenon that is undefiled but subject to defilement (asaṅkiliṭṭha-saṅkilesika), there arises a phenomenon that is undefiled but subject to defilement, by root condition (hetu-paccaya):
Dependent on the aggregates that are defiled and subject to defilement and on the primary elements (mahābhūta), [there arises] mind-originated form (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa). (Abbreviated.)
