The eye sense base (cakkhāyatana) is a condition for the eye-consciousness element (cakkhuviññāṇa-dhātu) and for the phenomena associated with it (taṃ-sampayuttaka) by way of non-disappearance condition.
The ear sense base (sotāyatana) is a condition for the ear-consciousness element (sotaviññāṇa-dhātu) and for the phenomena associated with it by way of non-disappearance condition.
The nose sense base (ghānāyatana) is a condition for the nose-consciousness element (ghānaviññāṇa-dhātu) and for the phenomena associated with it by way of non-disappearance condition.
The tongue sense base (jivhāyatana) is a condition for the tongue-consciousness element (jivhāviññāṇa-dhātu) and for the phenomena associated with it by way of non-disappearance condition.
The body sense base (kāyāyatana) is a condition for the body-consciousness element (kāyaviññāṇa-dhātu) and for the phenomena associated with it by way of non-disappearance condition.
The form sense base (rūpāyatana) is a condition for the eye-consciousness element and for the phenomena associated with it by way of non-disappearance condition.
The sound sense base (saddāyatana) is a condition for the ear-consciousness element and for the phenomena associated with it by way of non-disappearance condition.
The odour sense base (gandhāyatana) is a condition for the nose-consciousness element and for the phenomena associated with it by way of non-disappearance condition.
The taste sense base (rasāyatana) is a condition for the tongue-consciousness element and for the phenomena associated with it by way of non-disappearance condition.
The tangible sense base (phoṭṭhabbāyatana) is a condition for the body-consciousness element and for the phenomena associated with it by way of non-disappearance condition.
The form sense base, the sound sense base, the odour sense base, the taste sense base, and the tangible sense base are a condition for the mind element (mano-dhātu) and for the phenomena associated with it by way of non-disappearance condition.
The form in dependence on which the mind element and the mind-consciousness element (manoviññāṇa-dhātu) occur — that form is a condition for the mind element, for the mind-consciousness element, and for the phenomena associated with them by way of non-disappearance condition.
