[390] Conjoined (saṃsaṭṭha) with a wholesome phenomenon (kusala dhamma), a wholesome phenomenon arises due to root condition (hetu-paccaya): conjoined with one wholesome aggregate (khandha), three aggregates arise; conjoined with three aggregates, one aggregate arises; conjoined with two aggregates, two aggregates arise. Conjoined with an unwholesome phenomenon (akusala dhamma), an unwholesome phenomenon arises due to root condition: conjoined with one unwholesome aggregate, three aggregates arise; conjoined with three aggregates, one aggregate arises; conjoined with two aggregates, two aggregates arise. Conjoined with an indeterminate phenomenon (abyākata dhamma), an indeterminate phenomenon arises due to root condition: conjoined with one resultant-indeterminate (vipākābyākata) or functional-indeterminate (kiriyābyākata) aggregate, three aggregates arise; conjoined with three aggregates, one aggregate arises; conjoined with two aggregates, two aggregates arise. At the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi), conjoined with one resultant-indeterminate aggregate, three aggregates arise; conjoined with three aggregates, one aggregate arises; conjoined with two aggregates, two aggregates arise.
