[504] An indeterminate (abyākata) phenomenon (dhamma) is a condition for an unwholesome (akusala) phenomenon by predominance condition (adhipati-paccaya).
Object-predominance (ārammaṇādhipati): having esteemed (garuṃ katvā) the eye, one relishes it and delights in it; having esteemed it, lust (rāga) arises, wrong view (diṭṭhi) arises. The ear … the nose, the tongue, the body, forms, sounds, odours, tastes, tangible objects, the base (vatthu) … having esteemed the resultant-indeterminate and functional-indeterminate aggregates (khandhā), one relishes them and delights in them; having esteemed them, lust arises, wrong view arises.
