[99] Dependent on an indeterminate phenomenon (abyākata dhamma), an indeterminate phenomenon arises, not by faculty condition (na indriya-paccayā): External (bāhira) … nutriment-originated (āhārasamuṭṭhāna) … dependent on one temperature-originated (utusamuṭṭhāna) primary element (mahābhūta), three primary elements … dependent on the primary elements, derivative materiality (upādā-rūpa); for non-percipient beings (asaññasattā), dependent on the primary elements, the material life-faculty (rūpa-jīvitindriya).
