Abhidhammapiṭaka · Paṭṭhāna (2) · Vol. 41 · Section 1007

[1007] A phenomenon (dhamma) with root (hetu) to be abandoned by seeing (dassanena pahātabbahetuka) and a phenomenon with root to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development (nevadassanena nabhāvanāya pahātabbahetuka) are a condition (paccaya) for a phenomenon with root to be abandoned by seeing and for a phenomenon with root to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by development by way of object condition (ārammaṇa-paccaya); a condition by way of connascence condition (sahajāta-paccaya); a condition by way of decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya). Here too, [as regards] the connascent (sahajātaṃ) and the prenascent (purejātaṃ): whatever mixed questions (missaka-pañhā) there are should not be made in the text (pāḷi).
