[105] In the negative (paccanīya) [method], under not-root [condition] (na-hetu) there are thirty-three questions (pañhā); in seven positions, the seven [cases of] delusion (moha) should be extracted. Only in the root terms (mūla-pada), under not-object [condition] (na-ārammaṇa), the seven mind-originated (cittasamuṭṭhāna) [items] should be extracted. The seven questions rooted in [the term] 'accompanied by thought-conception and discursive thought' (savitakka-savicāra) should be made under not-predominance [condition] (na-adhipati).
