[104] Conditioned by a phenomenon (dhamma) that is without thought and with examination only (avitakka-vicāramatta) and by a phenomenon that is without thought and without examination (avitakka-avicāra), there arise a phenomenon that is with thought and with examination (savitakka-savicāra) and a phenomenon that is without thought and without examination … Conditioned by thought (vitakka) and the base (vatthu), the aggregates (khandhā) with thought and with examination [arise]; conditioned by thought and the primary elements (mahābhūta), mind-originated form (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) [arises]; at the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi) ….
