[1237] A phenomenon (dhamma) of the learner (sekkha) is a condition (paccaya) for a phenomenon that is neither-of-the-learner-nor-of-the-adept (nevasekkhanāsekkha) by object condition (ārammaṇa-paccaya).
The noble ones (ariyā), having emerged from the path (magga), review the path; they review the fruition (phala) of the learner; by knowledge encompassing the minds of others (cetopariyañāṇa) they know the mind (citta) of one endowed with a learner's mind.
The aggregates (khandhā) of the learner are a condition, by object condition, for knowledge encompassing the minds of others, for knowledge of recollection of past lives (pubbenivāsānussati-ñāṇa), for knowledge of the future (anāgataṃsa-ñāṇa), and for adverting (āvajjanā).
