[1597] A phenomenon (dhamma) with an exalted object (mahaggatārammaṇa) is a condition, by decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya), for a phenomenon with an exalted object: object decisive-support (ārammaṇūpanissaya), proximity decisive-support (anantarūpanissaya), natural decisive-support (pakatūpanissaya).
Natural decisive-support: In dependence on faith (saddhā) with an exalted object, one gives rise to jhāna with an exalted object; insight (vipassanā) … superknowledge (abhiññā) … attainment (samāpatti) … conceit (māna) … one grasps a view (diṭṭhi). In dependence on virtue (sīla) with an exalted object … wisdom (paññā) … lust (rāga) … longing (patthanā), … jhāna with an exalted object … one grasps a view. Faith with an exalted object … wisdom … lust … longing is a condition, by decisive-support condition, for faith with an exalted object, for longing.
