[1889] An arisen phenomenon (uppanno dhammo) is a condition for an arisen phenomenon by object condition (ārammaṇa-paccaya).
One sees with insight the arisen eye (cakkhu) as impermanent, as suffering (dukkha), as not-self; one relishes it and delights in it. Taking that as object, lust (rāga) arises, wrong view (diṭṭhi) arises, doubt (vicikicchā) … restlessness (uddhacca) … grief (domanassa) … The arisen ear (sota) … the nose, the tongue, the body, forms (rūpa), sounds, odours, tastes, tangibles, the base (vatthu) … One sees with insight the arisen aggregates (khandhā) as impermanent, as suffering, as not-self … grief arises. One sees a form with the divine eye; one hears a sound with the divine ear element (dibbā sotadhātu). Arisen aggregates are a condition for the knowledge of supernormal powers (iddhividha-ñāṇa) and for adverting (āvajjana) by object condition.
