[2033] Dependent on an internal phenomenon (dhamma), an internal phenomenon arises by root condition (hetu-paccaya):
Dependent on one internal aggregate (khandha), three aggregates and mind-originated materiality (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) arise; dependent on two aggregates … At the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhikkhaṇa), dependent on one internal aggregate, three aggregates and kamma-born materiality (kaṭattā-rūpa) arise; dependent on two aggregates … Dependent on the aggregates, the base (vatthu) arises; dependent on the base, the aggregates arise. Dependent on one primary element (mahābhūta), three primary elements arise; dependent on the primary elements, mind-originated materiality and kamma-born materiality that are derivative materiality (upādā-rūpa) arise.
