[2043] Dependent on an internal phenomenon (ajjhatta dhamma), an internal phenomenon arises by not-root condition (na-hetupaccaya):
Dependent on one rootless (ahetuka) internal aggregate (khandha), three aggregates and mind-originated form (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) [arise]; [dependent on] two aggregates … At the moment of rootless rebirth-linking (ahetuka-paṭisandhi), dependent on the aggregates, the base (vatthu) [arises]; dependent on the base, the aggregates [arise]. [Dependent on] one primary element (mahābhūta) … nutriment-originated [form] (āhārasamuṭṭhāna) … temperature-originated [form] (utusamuṭṭhāna) … For non-percipient beings (asaññasatta), [dependent on] one primary element … Dependent on the primary elements, kamma-born form (kaṭattā-rūpa) that is derived form (upādā-rūpa) [arises]. Dependent on the aggregates accompanied by doubt (vicikicchā), accompanied by restlessness (uddhacca), delusion (moha) accompanied by doubt, accompanied by restlessness [arises].
