[2068] Dependent on an internal phenomenon (ajjhatta dhamma), an internal phenomenon arises, not by root condition (na-hetupaccayā). Dependent on one rootless internal aggregate (khandha) … At the moment of rootless rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi), dependent on the aggregates, the base (vatthu) [arises]; dependent on the base, the aggregates [arise]; one primary element (mahābhūta) … nutriment (āhāra) … temperature (utu) … For the non-percipient beings (asaññasatta) … the eye sense base (cakkhāyatana) … the body sense base (kāyāyatana) … Dependent on the base, rootless internal aggregates [arise]; dependent on the aggregates accompanied by doubt (vicikicchā), accompanied by restlessness (uddhacca), and on the base, delusion (moha) accompanied by doubt, accompanied by restlessness [arises].
