Dependent on one external aggregate (khandha), three aggregates and mind-originated materiality (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) arise; dependent on two aggregates … At the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi), dependent on one external aggregate, three aggregates and kamma-produced materiality (kaṭattā-rūpa) arise; dependent on two aggregates … Dependent on the aggregates, the base (vatthu) arises; dependent on the base, the aggregates arise. Dependent on one primary element (mahābhūta), dependent on the primary elements, mind-originated materiality and kamma-produced materiality that is derivative materiality (upādā-rūpa) arise.
